CLP overlay paper is used to separate fabric layers, to prevent slippage between it during cutting. It is also used for pleating fabric. Paper is also used as a filler for finished products: bags, shoes, etc. Due to the low density (1 kg contains more than 30 m2) of crepe paper, the price of 1 m2 is the lowest compared to other types of products.

Overlay paper has a finely folded surface with increased tear resistance.

Paper is processed on a crepe machine or in the cylinder of a paper machine to obtain small transverse folds on the paper.
